Paula Casati<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Contact: <a href=\"mailto:casati@cefobi-conicet.gov.ar\">casati@cefobi-conicet.gov.ar<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Abstract <\/strong>El objetivo del proyecto es investigar el rol de cinco prote\u00ednas de la familia de uni\u00f3n a metil CpG del ADN (Methy- CpG- Binding Proteins, o MBD) en respuesta a niveles aumentados de radiaci\u00f3n UV-B en plantas de <em>Arabidopsis<\/em>. Hemos caracterizado a una prote\u00edna de ma\u00edz de esta familia, MBD101. Plantas de ma\u00edz deficientes en ZmMBD101 muestran mayor sensibilidad a la radiaci\u00f3n UV-B, expresi\u00f3n alterada de genes que se regulan por UV-B y mayor da\u00f1o en el ADN. MBD1, MBD2, MBD3, MBD4 y MBD12 son homologas a ZmMBD101. Sin embargo, poco se conoce acerca del rol de estas prote\u00ednas hasta el momento. Se propone investigar el rol de estas prote\u00ednas en respuesta frente al da\u00f1o al ADN por UV-B y por otros agentes genot\u00f3xicos, en la regulaci\u00f3n de la expresi\u00f3n g\u00e9nica por UV-B relacionada a su posible funci\u00f3n en la deacetilaci\u00f3n de histonas y uni\u00f3n a ADN metilado.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Candidate Profile <\/strong>Graduados universitarios de las carreras universitarias Lic. en Biotecnolog\u00eda, Biolog\u00eda, Bioqu\u00edmica o afines.
