Mariel&nbsp;GerrardWheeler<\/em><\/em><\/em><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Abstract<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">Se analiza c\u00f3mo se produce la acumulaci\u00f3n de hidratos de carbono, aceites y prote\u00ednas de reserva en semillas y c\u00f3mo este llenado depende del metabolismo&nbsp;<em>in situ<\/em>&nbsp;y de la llegada de bloques de construcci\u00f3n desde la planta madre. Estos compuestos no s\u00f3lo proporcionan energ\u00eda para la germinaci\u00f3n, sino que tambi\u00e9n son materia prima para la alimentaci\u00f3n humana y animal y los biocombustibles. El objetivo es identificar determinantes moleculares claves para la s\u00edntesis de cada componente de la semilla. Actualmente gran parte del trabajo est\u00e1 enfocado en el cultivo de soja, dada su gran importancia en la Argentina y a que nuestra provincia es un actor clave en su producci\u00f3n, procesamiento y comercializaci\u00f3n. Mariana&nbsp;Saigo<\/em><\/em><\/em><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Abstract<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Las plantas C<sub>4<\/sub>&nbsp;como ma\u00edz, sorgo y ca\u00f1a de az\u00facar, alcanzan altos niveles de producci\u00f3n debido a las ventajas que presenta la fotos\u00edntesis C<sub>4<\/sub>, como por ejemplo las altas tasas de asimilaci\u00f3n de carbono a\u00fan en condiciones de baja disponibilidad de agua o altas temperaturas. Esto se consigue gracias a una serie de caracter\u00edsticas anat\u00f3micas y bioqu\u00edmicas que permiten la concentraci\u00f3n de CO<sub>2<\/sub>&nbsp;alrededor de la enzima&nbsp;RuBisCO. El enfoque general de esta l\u00ednea de trabajo se basa en el an\u00e1lisis comparativo de especies clasificadas en diferentes tipos fotosint\u00e9ticos para contestar interrogantes como: \u00bfqu\u00e9 ventajas tienen los distintos tipos de fijaci\u00f3n del carbono?, \u00bfbajo qu\u00e9 condiciones?, \u00bfresponden a se\u00f1ales ambientales?, \u00bfc\u00f3mo acompa\u00f1a el metabolismo celular? Marcos&nbsp;Tronconi<\/em><\/em><\/em><\/em><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Abstract<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El grupo del Dr.&nbsp;Tronconi&nbsp;utiliza herramientas de la&nbsp;epigen\u00e9tica, filogenia molecular y la bioqu\u00edmica de enzimas para asignar nuevos roles a los \u00e1cidos&nbsp;fum\u00e1rico&nbsp;y m\u00e1lico en plantas. Nuestra hip\u00f3tesis es que el&nbsp;fumarato&nbsp;imprime un \u201cdestino de acci\u00f3n\u201d del genoma bajo determinadas condiciones, regulando el perfil&nbsp;epigen\u00e9tico&nbsp;a trav\u00e9s de la modificaci\u00f3n del estado de metilaci\u00f3n de las histonas. El plan de trabajo pretende evaluar este tipo de&nbsp;epigen\u00e9sis&nbsp;durante la herencia del estado de&nbsp;vernalizaci\u00f3n, la embriog\u00e9nesis y germinaci\u00f3n. Por otro lado, en algunas especies con fotos\u00edntesis C<sub>4<\/sub>&nbsp;el malato actuar\u00eda como importante efector&nbsp;alost\u00e9rico&nbsp;activando la ruta bioqu\u00edmica que conduce a una eficiente asimilaci\u00f3n del carbono. Estos estudios podr\u00edan contribuir a prevenir algunos efectos del cambio clim\u00e1tico en el rendimiento de especies de inter\u00e9s agron\u00f3mico. Clarisa&nbsp;Alvarez<\/em><\/em><\/em><\/em><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Abstract<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La l\u00ednea de trabajo de la Dra.&nbsp;Alvarez&nbsp;utiliza t\u00e9cnicas de \u00faltima generaci\u00f3n para estudiar la estructura de prote\u00ednas: cristalograf\u00eda, modelado molecular, simulaciones&nbsp;bioinform\u00e1ticas&nbsp;y otras t\u00e9cnicas que permiten correlacionar propiedades cin\u00e9ticas y estructurales. Se analizan distintas enzimas claves del metabolismo de plantas y organismos relacionados, destac\u00e1ndose el estudio de prote\u00ednas relacionadas con el aumento de la eficiencia fotosint\u00e9tica, la regulaci\u00f3n&nbsp;redox, el metabolismo de compuestos de carbono, entre otros. El entendimiento de estos caracteres estructurales permite realizar una optimizaci\u00f3n racional de las propiedades de las prote\u00ednas, para luego ser utilizadas en el mejoramiento de especies de importancia agron\u00f3mica.
